Testimonials

As a guest on the Boss Ladies podcast, Olivia made me feel like I had a story worth telling. She was an engaging and prepared host on our first episode, and listening to her develop her interview skills as the podcast has matured is extremely gratifying. Through sharing my story on Boss Ladies, and listening to others, Olivia has connected me to a world full of eager, ambitious, accomplished people, which has helped me grow as a leader and as a person. I am grateful for the insight Boss Ladies offers, and to Olivia for her dedication to uncovering compelling stories that move us all forward.

As a woman in STEM, a recurring obstacle I face is gaining the confidence and courage to advocate for myself to mentors and colleagues, often as the only woman in the room. Hearing the personal stories of prominent female executives describe their (at times) unconventional and not-so linear paths of dream chasing has encouraged me to risk take, and pursue my ambitions confidently with the added knowledge that women before me have done the same. Bernadine Healy, former director of the NIH (very much a Boss Lady), famously had a plaque on her desk that proclaimed “Strong verbs, short sentences” and I believe that type of energy really embodies this podcast.

Listening to these Boss Ladies share about the many obstacles and wins on their respective journeys has encouraged me to be bolder, which has had a powerful effect on my growth! Anyone looking for more confidence in their workplace can benefit from hearing stories from these amazing, engaging Ladies!

I can’t get enough of this podcast. As a young twenty something, I look to the Boss Ladies Olivia interviews for all kinds of advice and inspiration - I always find that they cover something I didn’t know I needed to hear. Particularly in Kristen Tomlan’s episode, when she discusses the start of DŌ, hearing her say that she didn’t want to be “the person that constantly talks about something [and doesn’t make moves to do it]”. Though I am not starting a business, that hit home. I love this podcast and can’t wait to see where it goes!
